The Connected Cities network organised an excursion to the Phileas Bus Rapid Transit in Eindhoven. Phileas is a sustainable transportation concept, still in development. As a showcase Phileas was brought in by our partner SRE. In preparation to the excursion we published an article on Bus Rapid Transit in the Connected Cities supplement to the Nova Terra magazine (circulation: 7000).
Responding to a Connected Cities press release a journalist and a photographer joined us on our bus trip to Eindhoven. Next day, Thursday December 23, an article on the Phileas showcase was published in the Flemish newspaper De Morgen (circulation: 53.000). The article carried the headline: De bus van morgen kan ook zonder chauffeur (The bus of tomorrow can do without driver).
De Morgen is considered to be one of the three quality newspapers in Flanders.
