Getting from Athens and Thessaloniki to Mount Pelion

Mount Pelion conference: getting there

At first glance it may seem a journey of a life time to get to Mount Pelion. But let us reassure you. You can make it easily in one day. You fly to Athens or to Thessaloniki. From there you take a Intercity train to Larissa. These are modern and comfortable trains. Buy 1st class. You deserve it after your long flight. In Larissa we can pick you up.

In Athens

At Athens airport take the suburban train (PROASTIAKOS in Greek) and get off at Larissa Station. Larissa Station is the last stop on the line so don't get nervous. Not all PROASTIAKOS trains will bring you to Larissa Station. Below you find the direct services that provide the best connection with the intercity.

In Thessaloniki

In Thessaloniki take a taxi from the airport to the train station.

In Larissa

When you travel with the intercity: there is just only one station in Larissa. Get off there and we will take care of the last leg of your journey as long as you take one of the intercity services listed below. Please inform us of your expected arrival time. Use the transportation form.
